Riso workshops
We occasionally offer introductory riso printing courses where we invite individuals or a small group of people (four – six) to our print room so we can teach you the basics of riso printing. You’ll go away with a multi-colour collaborative print made with other participants and an edition of a 2 colour print.
We have also produced more in-depth workshops for print instructors and designers. These are tailored to personal requirements.
We will sometimes take our printing kit out and about to other events too. We’ve been to print fairs, universities and film festivals, to print both posters and zines in some cases. It’s a lovely way for people to work collaboratively on a publication and to have a go at riso printing. Get in touch with us for prices!
Zine Fairs & Zine-in-a-Day (ZIAD)
We LOVE a zine fair! So much so we’ve organised Leeds Zine Fair some years running. We’ve held it at Wharf Chambers, Left Bank Leeds, Leeds Kirkgate Market, and CLAY (Centre for Live Art Yorkshire). Part of the Leeds Zine Fair experience is making a zine-in-a-day (ZIAD).
We bring our RZ single colour risograph, our collator and our booklet making machine and produce a run of zines made collaboratively with attendees, right there on the day. It’s amazing to see what people come up with, and totally joyful to see the smiles on their faces seeing their artwork go from a glimmer of an idea, to being part of a publication, in the space of about four hours!
