Lead Times

Riso ink is wet while printing, and ideally wants time to dry between printing layers, second sides, and if other processes are being used (including chopping down to size). Overnight is best for this waiting time, sometimes even longer if the artwork has areas of particularly heavy ink coverage.

Digital printing jobs take less time, since no drying time is required.

Here are some guideline lead times, excluding delivery:

Riso Prints

For single-sided riso prints
• 1 or 2 colours: 2-3 working days
• 3 or 4 colours: 3-4 working days
• 5+ colours: 5+ working days

For double-sided riso prints
• 1 or 2 colours: 3-4 working days
• 3 or 4 colours: 4-5 working days
• 5+ colours: 6+ working days

If any prints need to then get chopped down, folded, or otherwise finished, add on another working day. Add 3-4 more working days if the printing is going to an external finisher (for specialist binding, die cutting or other things we can’t do in-house).

Riso printed Booklets x 100 – 300 copies
under 60pp
• 1 or 2 colours: 4-5 working days
• 3 or 4 colours: 6-7 working days
• 5+ colours 8+ working days

60-100pp
• 1 or 2 colours: 7-8 working days
• 3 or 4 colours: 10-11 working days
• 5+ colours 12+ working days

More copies will take more time. We saddle-stitch (folded and stapled) in-house, but if you want any other type of binding, we will outsource which can add another 3-4 working days to any job.

We can often get things done faster than outlined above, but rushing can lead to mistakes and misprints, so please get in touch well in advance of your deadline when you can.
We cannot refund or re-print any work that has been printed as a rush job, faster than the advised lead times.

We send using next day delivery with DPD as standard. This is not a guaranteed next day service.
